Self confidence is a very important matters to me. I still remember when I was in secondary school, my self confidence is miserable. But when I grow older, I develop my self confidence with a very good manner. Here are some tips that you can apply to develop your self confidence.
1. Dress Smartly
Just be yourself and make sure that you are smart in front of the mirror. Try to ask yourself, am I smart? If not, you better get someone else and double check whether you are smart or not. Sometimes another person can give a good feedback on your dressing and try to appreciate their thought.
2. Apply Fragrance
When you apply some fragrance that smell nice to your body, there are some different feeling. You will be extra calm and relax. Make sure that your body odor didn't disturb your performance. Believe me, smell of your body will help you. If you don't know, just ask your friend or your family about your smell.
3. Body Posture
Correct your posture and you will know the different. When you dress smart, your body smell nice and your posture is correct, from the outside view, you are near perfect and somehow you will be centre of attraction. When you have this feeling, automatically your confidence level will raise to a certain level.
4. Walk Faster and Sharp
What is the different between successful man and a failure man. You can notice some of the different if you make enough study on this. Most of the successful man walk faster and sharp. Don't walk like a lazy man. It will effect your personality to the community.
5. Appreciating People Around You
There are certain people that are very familiar around you like your family, friends, teacher and maybe your enemy. Don't look down to them. They might have some weaknessess but they also have good strength. When you notice this strength and appreciate it, instantly you will try to develop yourself on higher level than you are now. This is part of the motivation that you must have in order to prevent you to becoming lazy and sometime backstabbers without you notice it.
6. Speak Up
When on group study, don't underestimate yourself. Sometimes your idea is better than your friend. Just because your friend can talk better than you doesn't mean he is smarter than you. Try to speak up, and then you will know. For the first time, yes, you may face it difficult because you are still lack in the confidence but don't worry, you will develop.
7. Work Out
Don't spend most of your time on watching TV or surfing internet. It is not good for your health and social life. Try to jogging with your friend, playing football or go to the gym. When your body is great, certainly the confidence level will come.
8. Focus on Contribution
When you always think about your appearance, this is the time that you will loose your confidence. Gain more knowledge and understanding about some issue, then try to contribute to the community you live in. This will make great benefit in the community.
9. Diet
Maintain your Body Mass Index (BMI). If you get 24, it is good. If your BMI is higher than 27, try to maintain it by doing some diet and exercise. Don't worry because this will take time. If you surrender before you the time comes, than you will loss the benefit.
10. Pray to the God
Allah is there for you. Worship Him day and night and tawakal. InsyaAllah, you will be more confident. He will give you some test and the test result will measure your Iman level. Realize what is the test and how you will overcome it, the good man you will be.
In conclusion, the time you underestimate yourself, it is the time where you will eventually loss all your self confidence. This is my tips from my experience, so we might have different method. Anyway, some of the tips are useful and maybe you can share it in the comment below :-)
